Plus Size Pirate Costume

I’m not sure where the inspiration for the Barnacle Bill plus size costume has come from. He looks like one of the ghost pirates from Pirates of the Caribbean but after doing a few searches it appears he is the lead character in a famous and rather bawdy sea shanty. So he fills two hats for your next Halloween costume. You can scare the daylights out of friends and strangers and then you can cheer them up by singing the naughty but jovial sea shanty.

As I say, beware of who is listening to the sea shanty  as it is definitely adults only entertainment. I imagine it sounds better when you are a few sheets to the wind too. (for the singer and the listener I would guess).

So what do you get in your Barnacle Bill plus size costume ? Well I think Barnacle Bill is an American ex pirate who has come back as a rather gruesome ghost. So with this in mind his costume is mainly gray. This includes the pants, shirt and the full length jacket  He also wears a gray corn hat and an eye patch. The garments are detailed with fake blood stains to indicate wounds and cuts from past battle and fights.

This is a complete outfit and not much else is needed to complete the look. You may need some makeup to give your face the ghostly pallor of the wandering undead.  This is sure to be a hit at Halloween parties as it mixes the scary element with the ever popular pirate theme. No only that but you if you learn some of the verses of the sea shanty, you can provide the entertainment too.
